I had a bit of a crisis today when one common letter refused to turn green twice, leaving me scratching my head for a few minutes and wondering where the heck it was supposed to go if not there or there. These “mistakes” actually ended up being the key to Tuesday’s Wordle win, helpfully ruling out a huge number of obvious alternatives and leading me straight to the answer.

Oh, that was embarrassing. Not so much the guessing itself, but the way I managed to waste an entire row thanks to a typo. It’s my own fault—my brain was so excited it forgot to properly engage my fingers first, and I had to suffer the sight of a guess I already knew was wrong throw away a whole row.
